Banks of Ury Hotel
I booked this via LateRooms.
There was no breakfast, no reception and no one about at all between 8-9am. (check in and get keys in the bar)
No phone or Wi Fi in the room either, but there is a TV. Great hotel if you like a lively pub atmosphere, but I found pub noise and karaoke until the early hours kept me awake both nights. (Friday,Saturday). The room (at the back) was sparsely furnished but clean, but the bed was warm and comfortable. A bed side light would have been a useful addition!. The window didn't shut properly and the curtains didn't fit. Bathroom was tired and a bit shabby, the shaver light didn't work and the shower was partly broken. Plenty of clean towels provided. Good kettle and tea and coffee making facilities in the room. The landlady was really friendly and went out of her way to help me, which was the best attribute of the place.
Inverurie is a very nice town and fortunately had a grocery shop/deli, open early until late, where you could get breakfast and other food. Several local restaurants will provide dinner. Banks of Ury seems to be a popular place for a drink and playing pool, but its more a pub with rooms, rather than a hotel.
