Excellent hotel wonderful stay
Without having looked at pictures of this hotel which I normally do not do, we were surprised on arrival to hear that our suite included a large Jacuzzi bath.
the receptionist with the curly blonde hair was very friendly and inviting and made us feel very welcome. she showed us to our room and ;left us with smiles on our faces. the jump on bed test was done when no one was there to watch us, and the mattress was lush. the bathtub was snapchatted from here to London and back, much was our impressment. If you were to be nit-picky, the toilet seat was a bit ajar and undue pressure would slide it to one side slightly. and when the toilet was flushed or a tap running, there was a loud machine noise. the bath was total lush wrapped in heaven. The bubbles need no explanation. The Wi-Fi was a bit slow and could cut out, but that's understandable and next time we will bring ready downloaded episodes of games shows to watch whilst relaxing with munch (sorry about all the crisp packets by the way) in the swimming pool, sorry bath. The TV had a smorgasbord of channels to choose from which was good, and the white picket windows were my partner's favourite type of window so she was quite content for her birthday surprise. The road noise was minimal and 99% of the furniture matched. And by Jove, a real hairdryer, with plug, and actual power, as opposed to the normal lukewarm gasp guns you would find in other hotels. The carpet was nice and spongy, not just in the room, but also throughout the building, as I found going down to breakfast in my socks, there was a nice pile in the carpet, good shag level. Moving swiftly to breakfast, the dining room was nice and well decorated, like the rest of the building, and the staff were very friendly, I ordered two types of egg from the cooked breakfast, cheeky, but was received with a generous helping of creamy scrambled eggs, probably Delia's, and two poached eggs, that oozed yolky goodness. the sausage was nice and filling, and the bacon was beyond delicious. The toast was evenly fired, and had a perfect crunch to it, and the butter pellets wee nice and cold. The tea was delicious, and we left quite satisfied. returning later that afternoon, our room had been immaculately cleaned and brand new. Another long dip in the Jacuzzi and a smuggled in dinner (sorry about that, we didn't spill though, very careful not to miss our mouths) followed by 8 out of ten cats does countdown and Skyfall on STV ended a lovely day. Another nice lush marshmallowy sleep later and we were once again ready fro breakfast. We were up and ready so made our way down (this time in shoes) to the breakfast a tad earlier than we had booked it for, but were well received nonetheless. This time, I was annoying and specific and asked for one sausage, double bacon, both eggs and back pudding. The food came out just as I had finished a bowl of milky coco pops which was a nice touch, and the apple juice was very fresh and had a good sourness about it. The plate arrived. the creamy mountain of scrambled egg, the oozy volcanoes of yellow centred snowballs the black pudding, and the single sausage. and to top it off, a whole pig's backside of lovely crispy, tasty, mouth wateringly delicious back bacon... another fulfilled breakfast we asked what time checkout was an owing that we had a couple of hours left, we decided to take a last cheeky soak in the Jacuzzi bath. We had forgotten to put the do not disturb on, and halfway through our decadent and bubbly soak the door was opened. the ensuing draught swung open the bathroom door and when it became obvious by the noise of the bubbles and the sounds of the BBC accompanied by the pile of clothes on the chair, the door was slowly closed again and the would be catcher of the skinny-dippers, left slowly and probably tip toed. much laughter followed from our part, as we regained our heartbeats, and garments, and decided to once again dress ourselves. packed up and left, checkout was simple easy and the receptionist very nice and welcoming and friendly. Will definitely return!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
