Trochelhill was a superb find.
The house is set in beautiful gardens, and owned by very caring people. We were met by Ian Ferguson and immediately offered tea and homemade cake. We were then shown to our room where he proceeded to fully explain where the tea-making things were, where I could find the hairdryer and how to operate the controls of the shower. We then asked for somewhere to have an evening meal and he immediately supplied names of two local eateries. Nothing was too much trouble for this excellent host and his lovely wife.
Lovely place to stay
This was such a lovely place to stay, really warm and welcoming.
They paid attention to the little details such as tea and cake when we got there, a flask of milk to take up for tea in our room and home baked bread for breakfast. The room, with the stunning four post bed and amazing views were lovely too. Would definitely recommend.
