Warm and Friendly
After a long and difficult journey due to traffic problems we were made to feel very welcome.
The room was small and the bathroon snug but it was a light and airy room with a very comfortable bed. We had a very good meal and the prices for both food and drink very reasonable. We had an early start the following morning but the lndlady was able to provided us with a cooked breakfast before they normally started. Highly recommended,
bad customer service and admin errors = accusations
upon booking and my details being passed across the swan at forton took the complete payment out of my account although it was a pay on arrival room, I didn't complain as it didn't really cause me any inconvenience, they somehow managed to make an absolute mess of the admin and this left me having to argue with staff Monday morning who were accusing me of not paying for the room, saying its impossible to have happened the way i claimed and i'd have to pay again.
this resulted in me having to log onto the hotels wifi and go through my banking app to show the less than helpful member of staff my personal & private bank details so she could see the transaction. even after all this I didn't get an apology and in turn was late for work, I've contacted the hotel to complain and I've just been ignored.
