Excellent customer service

Camborne is not generally a tourist destination, I needed to be there for a wedding.

The hotel staff were excellent offering reasonable accommodation and excellent hospitality. The room was a little tired, but very clean. The breakfast was very good, though the dining room decor could do with refreshing. The only real drawback was my room being directly over the main bar, with loud music making it difficult to sleep until it concluded when the bar shut. As it was Saturday night, and I had no reason to be us especially early that was not a major problem in the end.

Not sure why this Hotel gets such good reviews?

We had a two night stay here to attend a friend's Birthday Party.

As we could see the Hotel was on a main road, we both took and wore earplugs. We were shattered after traveling for 9 hours and fell asleep quickly. Unfortunately, a permanent resident, who lived above us and works Nights, came in at 3.30am and then stomped about with her Boyfriend for over an hour, despite me complaining to her. Yes I complained and the Manager probably did have a word with her. The following night she still woke us up at 3.30am but we heard her go straight to bed. The problem is, the hotel is too stingy to put carpet in her room. Breakfast: which was pretty good, was accidentally poured all over the table and me. Yes, it happens and the waitress did take it away to change it. But, I was just given the same breakfast on another plate. How do I know. The fried eggs and bacon, which had been on the bottom under the Baked Beans, were now on top, with the original BB tomato sauce still on them. No, I didn't complain. If they were prepared to do that, what else might they do to my breakfast?. Apart from these problems, the hotel section is tired and dirty, especially in the landing areas. We travel a lot and this hotel was extremely under par on every level, I'm afraid. No, I'm not a moaner. I'm just about to give a B&B in Ilfracome that we also stayed in a glowing report.
