We recently had a one night stay at this location.
The staff member dealing with the booking on our arrival was helpful and pleasant and offered to carry our bags to our room. The car park attached to the accommodation was a pay and display one but we were given a parking ticket to display showing that we were residents so that there was no charge. The room was clean and spacious with tea and coffee making facilities and the cost of the stay was very reasonable. We would definitely stay here again.
Friendly welcome and attentive staff to a fairly cheap and cheerful hotel.
Room was a little tired but had everything that you needed. With the exception of the rather grubby carpet everything was nice and clean. Very good shower in the fair sized en suite. We had a room at the front of the building and there was significant noise from outside, didn't bother us much but still pretty noisy for mid week in a small town. I can't comment on the food since breakfast was served from 9am to 11am, so we had departed before service began. Convenient, adequate and not too dear if you need a place to stay in Chester-le-Street.
