Cheap and everything I needed
Paid £35 for a single room, en-suite and breakfast for staying over after a night out.
Can't fault the room at all for myself - comfy bed, hot shower, warm and pleasant room with TV. Didn't make it to breakfast so can't comment there.
Better than expected considering other reviews
Had butterflies in my stomach driving up to the hotel having read some of the recent reviews posted before I left but was pleasantly surprised that it wasn't as bad as I expected.
The check in is very quick, although the card machine was out of order. The room was clean, beds were great and the bathroom was decent. All this is considering the price of under £30 per person per night.
One comment I had read was about being kept up during the night and while we were on the first floor at the top of the stairs neither of us had a problem sleeping during the night, although for very light sleepers the bell might be disruptive and the doors are thinner than in a Premier Inn/Travelodge.
Slightly aggrieved not to be notified that the door is locked and you have to ring to get in at certain times, therefore the 24 hour reception is a bit of a stretch of the imagination.
