About the hotel
We are small friendly Bed and Breakfast situated in the new part of the old conservation village of West Linton. We are a 10 minute walk from the Olde Bakehouse--a Bistro style restaurant and the Gordon Arms Pub --both provide good food. Dogs are allowed in the pub end of the Gordon Arms where they also serve food.
There is a small supermarket, a post office, an ATM, and a pharmacy. The village lies 16 miles to the south of Edinburgh city centre--11miles to the by pass---no pedestrian crossings so this takes about 10-15 minutes. There is a park and ride at Straiton which means you do not have to drive --or park!!-- in the city. Many of our guests are touring as we are handy for the city, guests stay 2or3 nights with us and visit Edinburgh or the Scottish Borders. We have good access to the main road North and South and the airport. I like to think I offer a quality friendly environment -- good quality beds and quality products for breakfast including home made bread.

Clean, comfortable home from home
Quiet, residential location approximately half an hours drive from Edinburgh but within the countryside.
Clean, comfortable accommodation with comfortable beds and a good, home cooked breakfast.
2 night stay at The Meadows
Thoroughly enjoyed a 2 night stay at the Meadows whilst visiting relatives nearby.
Accommodation was very suitable for our stay - the room and facilities were all that was required - clean, neat and tidy and the bathroom provided an excellent shower facility. The breakfast was substantial and very tasty and nothing was too much trouble for the very pleasant natured host. I would strongly recommend this accommodation for person/persons visiting the area.
