About the hotel

A warm Welsh welcome awaits you at Court Farm, set in delightful gardens on a working farm. Ideally placed for touring the Wye Valley, historic towns of Chepstow and Usk and Roman remains of Cearleon. Within easy access of numerous golf courses including Celtic Manor, St.

Pierre and Dewstow. Well placed as a stopover for your journey through Wales, M4 junction 23a is just a 5min drive away. Within easy access are numerous golf courses, Newport (8 miles), Chepstow Racecourse (7 miles), Cardiff (16 miles) and Wales and the West Showground (3 miles). Bristol is an easy 17 miles drive over the Severn Bridge. Court Farm was formerly the manor house of the medieval settlement of Llanfihangel Rogiet, the core of the house probably dates back to the 16th century. It has been suggested that the house is standing on the site of an earlier building, perhaps the castle or fortified house of the Martels-the earliest known lords of the manor

A Warm Welsh Welcome

The photos do not do justice to the farmhouse and it's idyllic surroundings , from the horses popping their heads up to say "hello" and the beautiful village church nestled amongst the farm buildings .

The house itself , with it's ivy covered walls and solid wood door opening to the warmest welcome we've ever experienced. After a gruelling journey , delayed by traffic and hampered by driving rain , we were greeted by our hostess Sue , who immediately offered us tea and homemade cake. The room was spotlessly clean , comfortable and well stocked with tea , coffee & biscuits, together with a mini fridge to keep our bottles of water cold. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and after a hearty breakfast , said farewell to the chickens , cats and the horses , and made our way home. We will definitely stay here again when we next visit South Wales.

Lovely Stay

I had a really nice stay here.

A lovely room with a comfy bed, and warm large bathroom with a great shower. The food was lovely, and Sue is a great host . There are nice cosy chairs in the room overlooking the garden and land, so it's great to watch the horses and the cats and chickens. I'll stay again !
