Gourmet delight !

Whilst the room was a little 'tired'.

The staff were very friendly and the setting is nice if you enjoy taking a walk along the river. The highlight of the stay however, has to be the food. It was the best hotel meal I've had the pleasure of eating in years. A huge well done, and many thanks to the chef. Highly recommended !

Very basic

The room was large, which was the good bit.

However, the decor was tired. The car park is small and when there are lots of people visiting the pub, it can be difficult to find a place. I avoided the dinners due to cost - other pubs in the area offer good food at considerably lower cost. I did have breakfast there, which was £6.50 for continental. Overpriced for what it was. The croissants looked like they had been there all week.
