Nice Family Hotel
We decided to have a night away and for some reason chose Holyhead, turns out there's no reason to ever go there for a night out.
However there is some amazing views especially from the hotel bar which is lucky because there didn't appear to be anything else to do. So the hotel itself was clean, tidy, well organised and friendly, the staff were all helpful and couldn't ask much more from a family run establishment. The location is fantastic. The food and drink was reasonably priced and the restaurant very busy until the 8.15 cut off for food orders, seemed too early but there you go. There was no complaints about the food as such in so much as it was freshly made, hot and edible. However for the price and taking into account the menu descriptions it was fair to expect a little better. It was a little bit 1970's to be honest, I had Lamb Burgers which were ok but were just thin patties from a wholesaler or somewhere similar and I can't remember the exact price but in the region of £10 it could be so much better. My partner had Salmon Fishcakes which again was a similar (slight) disappointment. It really wouldn't take very much for this to be a great setting for lovely homemade food - just misses the mark for me but there were very happy regular customers keeping it very busy. I would definitely recommend the hotel to anyone.
Very enjoyable stay staff were very obliging nothing too much trouble, good size car park & very comfortable rooms, would definitely stay again.
