About the hotel
Raemoir, awarded Scotland’s Country House Hotel of the Year four years running by the Scottish Hotel Awards, is one of the most beautiful in the Highlands. Located near Banchory, the gateway to Royal Deeside and Whisky, Castle and Golf Trails, this recently refurbished Georgian house provides exceptional levels of 2 AA Rosette/Michelin recommended cuisine and comfortably furnished 4 Star accommodation.
Two distinct buildings house the 18 individually decorated ensuite bedrooms - the older, the Ha’Hoose, dates back to 1715 and has 4 rooms.
Directly in front stands the Georgian mansion which became a hotel in 1943 and holds the other 14 rooms. We welcome you to use our WIFI available throughout the hotel and also free parking.
We might be close to Aberdeen and just 15 minutes from Westhill but the seclusion of Raemoir means you could be a world away. The views in all directions are of nothing but hills, forest and countryside. Raemoir is situated in 3,500 acres of parkland and woodland in beautiful Royal Deeside but only 20 minutes away from Aberdeen Airport and within easy reach of the city centre.
At a charge of £10 per dog per night, we invite you to bring your four legged family members with you on your stay at Raemoir House Hotel. If you are looking for the splendour and indulgence of a Scottish Country House hotel then Raemoir awaits.
We look forward to welcoming you.

OLD COUNTRY HOUSE CHARM
A fine hotel in beautiful settings well managed and run and at a price that makes the traveling from Aberdeen city very much worthwhile.
stayed at Raemoir recently as part of a larger group of 11 friends and family for a get together before Christmas.
The hotel is magnificent, from the minute you turn off the main road up the long drive way you get the feeling it will be something special. The public areas are decorated and furnished in a way which reflects what the house would have been like in years gone by and, being Christmas, the decorations were beautiful, tasteful but not over the top and in keeping with the style of the place. I shared a twin room (Cowdray) with my mother and again the room was fantastic. The furniture was a bit of a mish mash of antiques but it worked perfectly. The beds were extremely comfy and the room was lovely and warm. We had a great view out over the side of the hotel, lawns and fields. A lovely little touch was the proper china tea cups in the room. The room itself was spacious and plenty of storage. There was a small TV but we didn't come away to watch the telly so didn't turn it on. Free wifi throughout the hotel and in the rooms and no problems with that. The bathroom was bright and spacious (I think others have complained on here the that the bathroom was too white?. At least here you could actually see yourself properly in the mirror whereas in the likes of some Hilton's and other hotels the bathroom lighting is far too soft). Lovely toiletries and soft towels and plenty of hot water. Shower pressure was great and no issues with the plumbing or water pressure that others have mentioned. We met downstairs in the Big Fish bar for drinks initially before moving into the drawing room when it became quieter before dinner. The drawing room is spectacular with oak panelling all around and window shutters which are closed when it becomes dark. Also huge log fires throughout the hotel which provide a great heat. The Australian barman was very friendly and chatty with us all and very accommodating. We dined in the private dining room which was fantastic as it enabled us all to sit together and gave us privacy from other guests (and probably gave them a bit of peace from us). The staff at the hotel were great, friendly and attentive without being intrusive. All the staff we encountered smiled and spoke to us and made us feel welcome. Dinner itself was fantastic, we were given the festive menu which had a great selection on it and the food was beautifully presented and delicious. The portion sizes were not huge but it was more than enough for everyone. One of the management team even provided us with a docking station to allow us to play some music at dinner which was a nice touch. We returned to the drawing room after dinner for a few more drinks and did not feel that we were being rushed to leave by the staff (I think we all left for bed by 1230am). The hotel was quiet (possibly because it was a Sunday night) and we got a good nights sleep with no disturbances. Breakfast the next day was one of the best I have had in a long time. A great range of options on the breakfast menu and the food was again beautifully presented and absolutely delicious. There was a really nice range of jam, honey and marmalade on the table and we were given plenty of tea/ coffee, toast and croissants. The staff were again very friendly and attentive. For my mother and I, it was our first time here as we are not from the area but we have been recommending Raemoir to everyone, we really could not fault a thing. I think I speak for the group when I say we all had a fantastic time and thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. So much so we are looking to do this again next year; providing we weren't too rowdy and the hotel will have us back
