Bridge House Review
This hotel has been well maintained and is light and spacious.
It sits on the corner of a main road but this presents one issues. The room was really comfortable and had a pleasant atmosphere. There where some nice touches such as a good TV in the room, which was appreciated. The staff where nice and friendly and in attendance everywhere necessary. I opted for the carvery because it was easy and it was hot and tasty. They have a couple of good beers on tap and the open plan lounge and seating areas work well. The views looking out over the river made dinner very pleasant and relaxing. Parking was easy and there was plenty of it round the back as well as some on the front. This is nice place for a night or two.
Fantastic place - something wrong in the kitchen
Great location, great room, great staff - food was a total let down.
It really was almost farcical - I think the kitchen staff were either children or blindfolded adults - whoever was out there knew little about cooking food and far less about presentation. Spoilt the stay.
