Lovely Birthday Break
This is the second time that I have stayed in the last few weeks.
Both stays have been lovely, although our Easter stay (booked about 2 weeks before) was only half the price of the later stay. The service is great in all areas and all areas of the hotel are really nice. The pool area is pristine and my cousin thoroughly enjoyed the sauna.
There was a wedding on, but it did not impact on us at all, which was really good. We will definitely be returning soon.
Lovely location and friendly, helpful staff
The hotel is in a lovely setting and is a sympathetic blend of old and new buildings.
The staff were very welcoming and helpful in all areas. The hall itself is very striking and it is nice that the restaurant is spread across several rooms. There is also plenty of seating in the newer area, in and around reception. My room was spacious and clean, with everything that I needed. The bathroom was a little tired however the pool is very well-maintained and clean, and is a perfect size for swimming. It also has good access. My only comment is that I would have preferred a separate shower away from the disabled toilet. It is nice to have the pub as a separate, but very close, alternative venue and the food was nice and a good price. My father and I both enjoyed our short stay and will be returning again very soon.
