Comfortable B&B outside York in a pretty setting
We were welcomed by our host who was very friendly and helpful.
Our room was well decorated and of a good size and had plenty of tea, coffee etc. The beds were very comfortable. The bathroom was well equipped although the shower was difficult to manage and not very hot. The towels were also a bit small, The breakfast was excellent. Our host had left extensive information about local amenities in the room and we had a great meal in Tykes and travelled easily to York by bus. Lovely stay.
Needed a break - got one!
There's nothing not to like about this place.
Carole was a convivial and affable hostess, the room spotless and not found wanting, comfortable bed too. Breakfast was first class, as was the welcoming tea and cake. Nicely located for the City of York, Park and Ride recommended, and convenient. Just as handy for accessing other parts of the area. Although not the responsibility of the owner of the cottage, the potholes in the road leading to the cottage need avoiding.
All in all, a great place to stay and good value too.
