About the hotel
Unique accommodation in an Old Coaching Inn, which dates back to 1614. The original thatched roof still houses our Parlour Bar & Lounge. Accommodation ranges from standard to superior rooms, each one individually styled and named and many have period furnishings and four poster beds.
Superb cuisine in our Lewis Restaurant is prepared by our award winning chefs. Gourmet evenings are a regular feature in our Lewis Restaurant, the recipient of Two AA rosettes and Three RAC Blue Ribbons in 2003. Cosy fires, mellow atmosphere and attention to detail make the Old Inn a true experience in hospitality. Located just one mile from the sea, Crawfordsburn Country Park and the North Down Coastal Path, 10 minutes from Belfast City Airport and 2 miles from Bangor. Whatever your leisure pursuits you will find an abundance of things to see and do in the area, golfing, scenic walks, historic sights, sailing or perhaps a shopping trip to Belfast.

2years ago we were married in the old inn and each year we return.
The whole hotel experience is the combination of olde world character combined with 21st century comfort and convenience. The cottage where we stayed was beautiful comfortable elegant romantic and private. We had our own living room to socialise with our friends a beautiful 4poster bed with walk on dressing room and separate scrupulously clean elegant bathroom.we had dinner the first evening in the dining room with scallops that were delicious and fillet pf beef that melted in your mouth. Congratulations to the chef. The staff one male and one female were good humoured helpful courteous and non intrusive very well balanced. Only one comment where the old inn has such a successful wedding venue and a wedding couple return to celebrate there where the hotel knows this i think it would have been nice if the hotel had acknowledged the celebration especially when the couple are bringing friends with them also. As i say a respectful proposal.
