Hotel rooms where nice, bed wasn't that comfortable and it had a foot board, my husband is tall and had to sleep side ways.
Room was hot at night, but couldn't open windows as we where down stairs on main road and didn't want unwelcome guests climbing in. On welcome, we where pushed to side in the hall by the owner, so he could get out the door then left in hall way for a while unsure, but later was to get key for room but we wernt told this. Breakfast was nice but, when we entered room there was no where it to sit and had to ask another guest if we could sit at their table. We stayed in Carlisle on way to Scotland, we found Carlisle full of drunks and druggies, when mentioned to owner this she said it's a student area, it wasn't them but seemed like locals - wouldn't visit again.
Room needs updating, Walls and flooring all in a poor state, not 4 star at all
