The restaurant itself is bright and airy and decorated in a contemporary yet tasteful style whilst the well-trained staff provide a delightful service, delivering food that looks almost as good as it tastes. There is also a large pub and lounge area, featuring roaring log fires in the winter. They always have five local cask ales on tap with a Cask Marque and a comprehensive wine list with a carefully selected choice imported to suit their foods.
Despite its quiet countryside location, the hotel is only a 15 minute drive from both Chesterfield and Mansfield town centres, or alternatively 35 minutes from the cosmopolitan cities of Sheffield or Derby.
