Absolutely perfect!
The Barnes's Rest is superb! We stayed for 3 nights and were thoroughly impressed by all elements of our stay.
The room (we stayed in the 'Portland' room) was spacious, very modern, well furnished and extremely clean & tidy - we couldn't ask for anything else! Along with the kettle to make hot drinks, there was also a wide range of tea/coffee/hot chocolate as well as bottles of water and biscuits which were always replenished when the room was cleaned each day.
Each night we had a great sleep as the guest house was very quiet and the bed was so comfy. As with our room, the en-suite bathroom was again very modern with a fantastic power shower.
Each evening, we filled out an breakfast request for the following morning which had a wonderful range of options for us to choose from - cooked breakfast, cereals, salmon. The breakfast was perfect, piping hot, cooked perfectly and plenty of options of hot drinks, juices etc to accompany your food.
Overall, Dawn & Dennis made us feel extremely comfortable during our stay, the food was fantastic and so was the standard of our room & en-suite. We have raved about the guest house to family & friends and hope to return their ourselves in the not so distant future.

Nice but small
The service and cleanliness we're fantastic nice food and very helpful staff. My only negative I can say is the attic room we stayed in is tiny. If staying more than one night this could be a problem. Other guests however said they had larger rooms so when you book avoid top room. Also the dining room is very small with all guests using one table.
