Parsley
We thought that the accommodation, food, service etc was excellent. However, we stayed in the room named "Parsley", which is at the front and faces the main road. We like to sleep with the window open so we found the traffic noise disturbing.

a lovely hotel to stay at. The food is exceptional and the pub a lovely old country pub with character. Maybe slightly pricey, but very comfortable and a pleasant place to stay

A little bit noisy for my liking as it is above the pub but otherwise lovely place.

Very friendly staff
The staff here were very friendly and couldn't fault them. They even asked if I wanted to join in with the quiz night that was taking place and offered to get me onto a team. The room was very small but it was sweet and clean had everything I needed for an overnight business stay. Fresh coffee and milk a nice touch too.
Food on the whole was excellent, great mussells, Steak cooked perfectly, but beware of the greasy side salad! It tasted like chip fat and was smothered in oil! Some good quality olive oil and a dash of restraint would have solved this. Breakfast was Ok, good quality sausage and bacon but some black pudding would be a good addition, and the mushrooms were a little greasy too. I am a foody so this is one of the most important points to me, and I used to be a chef so I can spot a few school boy errors. However on the whole very happy with my stay. The selection and quality of the real ales served were excellent!
