100% would recommend it to a friend
We wanted a light holiday so opted for a getaway to the countryside and this just delivered on every single front.
Service was fantastic and couldn't be faulted and our room was far above our expectation. Looking forward to revisiting.
one night stay was memorable
Arrived early to enjoy the facilities.
We were given a free room upgrade. Room was stunning. Large bed and lounge area with a massive bathroom. Double French doors that led to the outside pool. Enjoyed a sauna and swim. Dinner was too a high standard perhaps a little bit more than I would normally like to pay. Good breakfast in the morning. I have already recommended this hotel to friends and family.

Homewood park is a lovely hotel.
The hotel and gardens are really beautiful. Our room was the perfect size for a family. It had a small bed for our 6year old daughter and a travel cot for our 1year old. Our bed was a great size and we also had a sofa. The spa area was amazing and it didn't bother me that it was a child free area, except for the outside heated pool. In fact it was great it wasn't as it meant me and my husband each took it in turn to have a few child free minutes. However, our first delight at arriving change because of a few annoying factors. The first thing was on the second day we had spent the day going round Bath, which was really worth doing. When we got to our hotel room, it didn't look very clean. Before we had left that morning I made sure that I tidied our own things, so that they could clean. The carpets looked like they had be given a very quick Hoover. Admittedly, having two young children in the room you do get lots of hand prints on the mirrors etc, however for the price we paid I would have thought it was reasonable for it to be cleaned and their hands weren't sticky. I didn't say anything, as the children needed to go to bed and we were leaving the next day, so it was really disappointing to come back with two very tired children and to feel like it wasn't clean. I generally felt that with two very young noisy children that we didn't really fit in. I think the hotel is more suited to a couples retreat than a family stay. For the most part the staff were helpful and courteous, I wouldn't say overly friendly though. The main thing that left a bad taste for me happened when my daughter had wet the bed this is a very embarrassing thing to have to report. But in the morning I went to let the hotel know. I was expecting to be charged, although my husband found this annoying. I felt it was completely reasonable. What I wasn't expecting is the utterly rude way I was spoken to by the house keeper. She was with all the cleaners in a room and her response was not said in these words but felt like she was saying' what do you want me to do about it'. She was very short with me, in what was not an easy thing to say in front of a group of people. I found it really upsetting and was glad to be leaving. So it was a bit of a shame in the end. What surprises me is that on a child's bed there is no mattress protector.
