5* customer service
When we first booked in we met Sam the duty manager who was very friendly and offered to help us up with our bags.
Me and my daughter stayed in a lovely big room with a king sized bed. The bathroom was a good size. There was a bath, with a shower attachment in it and the water was lovely and hot with a very clear temperature gauge which is helpful when you've got a child with you. My parents stayed in a bedroom with a wet room which although they don't have any they said would be really good for those with disabilities and the shower was excellent. The only thing we would say about the rooms is that because they were both with windows facing the main road it can be a little noisy at night. We ate in the restaurant for breakfasts and dinners and they were very good meals at a good price. The main feature of this hotel/restaurant is the customer service. It was exceptional. All the staff were friendly and courteous. In particular the customer service of Sam, the duty manager, and Rob, the general manager was some of the best I have ever received. They would come and check everything was ok and would chat with us and were both a big hit with my daughter. To the point that she would ask where they were whenever we went into the restaurant. If you want a relaxing, clean, spacious hotel to stay at with 5* customer service this is the place. I would definitely recommend to anyone wanting to stay in the area and would stay there should I go again
Room great everything else poor
Very small car park, reception tucked away within the pub that wasn't staffed when we arrived, once checked in the room was brilliant, only one issue being the main road with the usual boy racers at midnight, couldn't get a table for evening meal even when we tried at 7pm, the entire pub felt like it needed a good scrub along with the regulars.
Back to my usual hotel at Frome next time
