Me and my boyfriend had a lovely stay here at the Cavendale..
the owners and staff were extremely kind and helpful, the food was delicious, the location excellent, the room was clean and well lit with beautiful views, a comfy bed, powerful shower, mini fridge and tea/coffee facilities with biscuits everyday.. would definitely stay there again :)
My partner is disabled and we were put on the top floor, bed was really uncomfortable.
We put our own mattress topper on + an extra quilt and could still feel the springs through that. Cheaper places available with better quality rooms.
Mr and Mrs Taylor,
We are very sorry that you are not satisfied with your stay here with us at the Cavendale. I can confirm that when you phoned us directly to enquire about adding multiple nights on to your original stay, we did inform you that the room reserved for you was on the top floor and there was no mention of any disabilities. Usually, if we are informed of a disability prior to guests arriving, we will try our best to work around it and accommodate your needs. Unfortunately for you, the bed clearly wasn't comfortable however I can assure you that if this was a reoccurring problem our guests complained about, which it isn't, the mattress would be replaced.
Also, I am under the understanding that you haven't previously stayed around here before and you mentioned that there were places that were cheaper and better value for money, I am confused to how you can make this judgement.
