About the hotel
Manor Farm, in the village of Grittleton, offers traditional farmhouse bed & breakfast accommodation close to Chippenham. Explore lively market towns, rolling open scenery, stately homes and magnificent gardens plus experiencing the bustling city culture of Swindon and Salisbury. There are attractions galore - including iconic Stonehenge, and Avebury.
Famous sites such Salisbury Cathedral, Longleat, Malmesbury, Bath, Cotswolds, Wiltshire's White Horses, Stourhead, and the Kennet & Avon Canal combine with lesser known gems such as Lacock and STEAM. Whether it's indoors or outdoors, in front of a roaring fire, walking or cycling, Wiltshire is waiting to welcome you, . again, and again. Chippenham is the largest town in North Wiltshire. A little over an hour's journey from central London or Heathrow airport, it offers an ideal centre for relaxation in rural Wiltshire. Chippenham’s name originated in Saxon times meaning ‘River Meadow’. Its position in a crook of the River Avon has given it, through the centuries, a strategic position and power for its cloth mills. Today the river provides a peaceful backdrop to walking and cycling routes

Welcoming and comfortable
We were in the area to attend a family wedding.
We were welcomed at the door and because we had to leave the car at Manor Farm our lovely landlady offered to take us to the church rather than call for a taxi. The room was extremely comfortable with an excellent on-suite and we both slept like logs. Awakened to the sound of the cattle getting their breakfast, we were treated to a magnificent spread that set us up for the journey home. Excellent.
Welcoming, restful & comfy
To each their own, they say, and for me this was B&B heaven.
Maybe it was the farmyard, maybe the smiling welcome, or the cat ambushes, but lots of lovely parts made up a most pleasant whole. Homely, hospitable & a breakfast that certainly set me up for the rest of Sunday!
