About the hotel

Our farm is in the most beautiful countryside on the Wiltshire / Dorset border. We offer you Bed and Breakfast in our C17th listed stone farmhouse in a choice of 3 bedrooms and self catering in The Old Piggery (1 double bedroom) and The Milking Parlour (3 double bedrooms). Special offers are available for weekday stays and 3 night stays or longer.

Bed & Breakfast - The Edwards Room has a 6 foot double bed and private bathroom with whirlpool bath and separate shower. The French Room has a 5 foot double bed and the Family Room has either a 6 foot double or two twin beds, plus a double futon or Z bed. Cots and highchairs are available at no extra charge. The French and Family Rooms share a private bathroom. Self Catering - The Old Piggery is a studio apartment in a self contained building within our large garden. It has a 5 foot double bed and a single sofa bed, separate kitchen and shower room and its own garden. The Milking Parlour is a new building near the farmyard with 3 double bedrooms (2 of which can be twins), ensuite and family bathrooms, fully equipped kitchen and underfloor central heating. It has its own garden. Breakfast can be taken in the farmhouse at an extra cost. Well behaved dogs are accepted in our self catering but not in the B&B. You can enjoy a relaxing and comfortable time here. We have a herd of Red Poll Cattle on our organic farm and our own chickens lay your delicious breakfast eggs. You can see the stars in the night sky and enjoy the peace of the countryside. Stonehenge, Longleat, Salisbury, the beautiful gardens at Stourhead, Bath and the South Coast are all within easy reach, and if you're travelling west from London, we make a good stopping off point - though many of our guests wish to stay longer than just one night!

Wedding Party Booking At Cools Farm

We booked our guests into the Milking Parlour and Tractor Shed on the self catering option.

The rooms are clean and well maintained, there is a good inventory of utensils and there is a dishwasher, washing machine, good sized oven, microwave etc - everything you would need for a good stay, whether you went out for the day or stayed permanently in the accommodation. There is also a TV, good wi-fi connection and a fridge/freezer. Maggie and Q the owners make a good effort to keep guests happy and are pleasant and welcoming. We also had some guests staying in the farmhouse which is clean and tidy and well presented. Maggie cooks a good hearty breakfast and will try to fit you in at the time you require it. We would definitely stay again and our guests were very happy. The only thing that was an issue for me was that i found it difficult to find cools farm due to the country lanes not being very well signposted, but once you know the route and become familiar with it, it isn't a problem.

Lovely b&b!

Lovely stay at this b&b with my family.

Comfortable large family room to accommodate us all and breakfast was wonderful. Very nice owners who were very friendly. Only slight negative was having to get up early for breakfast but that was because we had a late night so could have done with a lie-in and thought 8.15am was too early!
