Nice friendly staff, good room - huge, clean and tidy.
Ate in the restaurant - starter (venison, haggis and soft boiled egg) was really good. Ordered ribeye steak medium for main. When it arrived it looked grey and washed out - almost like it had been steamed ratherthan grilled. Flavour was poor and it was dry and overcooked.
I told the waitress who was very pleasant and changed the order without query. Opted for the Gourmet Burger instead (difficult to get a burger wrong) and it was vey nice. Aspall cider on draught - nice...
