Cotswold Water Park Four Pillars Hotel

The staff, although obviously well rehearsed in their script, were courteous and friendly, though there appeared to be a big event on and our one night stay felt like we were imposing.

Having read previous reviews, we were surprised to find the stained carpets and damp stained paint work and a broken extractor fan, just like previous guests and would have thought these might have been corrected. Also they advertise "high speed" wifi access when in fact it did not work at all on either of our phones. All In all, I'm glad we were there only one night.

Not very impressed

Room and spa were dirty and staff were rude

Cotswold Water Park Four Pillars Hotel

This was two separate business stays for a couple of nights each.

Staff were great (particularly the cleaning staff who left the room impeccably clean and always seemed to be cheerful and laughing) All amenities were excellent (including the Spa which is delightful) and rooms were superb. The only let-down was the food and I would eat out next time. The first night I ate in the main restaurant - it was okay but the main course and starter were both over-seasoned and the space lacked ambiance - the next night I ate in the bar where the food was over-cooked and oily - strangely presented in a deep wooden crate with large holes through the slightly grubby-looking slats so you couldn't use a knife and fork properly - definitely more freezer food than honest pub grub. Great Hotel

Nice hotel. Overpriced food and drink

Friendly and helpful bar staff.

Joanna went the extra mile to make our experience nice. The bar food was disappointing for the price, particularly the curry. Receptionist role skills left something to be desired. Hotel clean but a little busy for Easter weekend.

Lovely room

We were upgraded to a suite and were completely wowed by the size and luxurious mess of the room with iOS he and huge bathtub.

Beautiful views on 2 sides of the room. We had an evening meal which was very good too.

Really nice hotel just right for overnight stay , food very nice in both restaurants

The only issue I would say and that's small, is the quite a long walk from parking car with luggage to reception then another long walk to the room but everything else lovely

First Class All Round

This was our first stay at this hotel and we loved it, the reception staff greeted us so warmly and the room whilst a little bit of hike was well worth it.

A fantastic stay and even better breakfast, we're looking forward to staying there again. The location was easy to find and easy for Cirencester and the local area. We didn't try the spa but saw plenty of other guests using it and have promised ourselves a treat next time.
