Somerville House, Hereford
A very enjoyable few days with easy relaxed atmosphere. Having said that, standards are very high and great attention to detail is obvious in all areas. Lovely garden and guests encouraged to take their leisure there, with refreshments availailable if desired.

Guest in Single Room (March 2014)
Very friendly and attentive service. Excellent breakfasts - vegetarians well catered for. Good to see mini-bar filled with local beverages and snacks. Room spotlessly clean and very well equipped. But, although warned through other reviews, the single room is very stall, e.g. good to have luggage stand, but no room to put it up; hospitality tray had to go onto floor in order to work on lap-top on the desk. In terms of decoration, room would benefit from being updated. Carpets in the bathroom?
Was very happy to have this room at a reduced rate. At full price, it would not represent good value for money.

Excellent stay
Stayed one night only. Would not normally pay so much but was worth the extra.

Very friendly attitude without being intrusive. Good location near to railway station and not too far from city centre.. Excellent food, freshly prepared and hot. Room rather small but o.k. for my short stay. No telephone in room but wake-up service on time. Fresh milk in room really appreciated. Will stay there again..

A home from home in Hereford
Somerville proved to be a bit of a gem, more like being a house guest than a paying visitor. The proprietors make you feel at home and their ready familiarity makes for a sense of belonging. The establishment is maintained to a high standard and the breakfast is a great way to start the day. My bed was probably one of the most comfortable I have slept on in a hotel this year and made for a good nights sleep. If you are visiting Hereford it is well worth considering.
