Nice town pub/B&B
Fit it's purpose.
Surprisingly quiet & everything required supplied.
old crown faringdon 9th sept 2014
Unable to give full review because manager/manageress had only been their 3 hours before our arrival @ 15:00hrs.But having said that they were very obliging & helpful as much as they could.
I have scored the room low as the first room we had was not at all suitable to be let for guests- the Room was really noisy as sighted over the bar and wine bar next door- hence no sleep till 1 am at least .
Also- several people mistook the room for the public toilet and kept trying the door. The Manager was great and did move us for the second night.
wouldnt stay again
having travelled for 7 hours arrived to a very noisy bar maid messing around .
the room was nice but 3 in morning fire alarm was set off waking everyone up apparently this had happend the night before aswell .there was no customer service there .wouldnt stay again .
Quirky but good value
This is a very old building and it reflects it's age with uneven floors and windy passages to the rooms.
Nevertheless the hotel is superbly situated in the heart of faringdon, the room was quiet and the staff were helpful and friendly.
Folly Fest Weekender
Ideal place to stay for 2014 Folly Fest.
The Old Crown staff pulled out all the stops to make our stay enjoyable. Would definitely recommend their burgers, gorgeous. We were contacted 24 hours before by the hotel to advise of traffic restrictions which we felt was going the "extra mile".
Cars night off
One night stop over after a birthday dinner.
great room overlooking the square, Helpful staff. good value. There is lots to visit locally.
Really lovely inn with great atmosphere.
Friday Night stay at The old Crown Coaching Inn
Disappointed that they could not provide anything at all for an early breakfast as two of us had to leave early despite me asking, had to chase up to pay prior to arrival, cobwebs in room.
Triple room was value for money although concern was raised ref easy quick exit in event of fire as room was furthest away.
2 night stay
We enjoyed our 2 night stay at The Old Crown Coaching Inn in a small twin room.
Interesting building with several places/rooms to sit and enjoy a drink, snack or meal. Nice outdoor courtyard area and a good traditional breakfast. Staff friendly too. Parking is at the back on the Inn, which is accessed through a side entrance. Fine for the price.
