Most enjoyable stay
We only stayed for one night but would have most definitely liked to have stayed longer.
Room too small and stuffy
I think we had the last room - late booking but it was an attic room that was very warm - even with windows open - decor looked at a bit tired and I hit my leg several times on the chabby chic bed end - too big probably for the size of room.
Bed was not very comfortable and the bed sheets had holes in them. This was our anniversary trip and did nothing to enhance our enjoyment of the time. Also we were not informed of dinner booking so had to find somewhere to eat at 7.30 on a Friday night. Perhaps need to just stick to the bigger hotel chains for room quality, restaurant service and good choice in breakfasts.
Great midweek relaxing break
Lovely Hotel and location
Lovely, friendly hotel set in a lovely village with two nice pubs.
Pool and sauna were great, although both on small side but area around was spotless. Room was clean and comfortable, and lovely cotton sheets. Room was very warm but there was a fan which was very useful.
No food available for the evening
Bar closed early
No beauty treatments available in the morning
Bathroom not clean
No remote for the TV
Fire alarm went off twice waking us up with no apologies
Exceeded all our expectations
Went for a one night stay to celebrate our 27th wedding anniversary and chose it because of the four-poster bed which reminded of us of our wedding night.
Met by very pleasant staff on arrival and found that the room also had a jacuzzi bath !. Really nice room with the en-suite bathroom, very clean, decent sized flat screen tv and superb bed. So quiet we almost overslept and missed breakfast !. Food was also superb, and very well priced, plus the bar was a nice cosy place for pre, and after dinner drinks. This is the first time I've been moved to write a review of any hotel we've stayed in, and would have no reluctance in recommending it to anyone looking for a night away. It was truly faultless in every way and we'll definately be going back.
Comfortable Post Christmas Stay
Just right for an overnight stay on a family visit.
The hotel was beautifully decorated for Christmas and we enjoyed a very nice meal in the restaurant.
Quaint little hotel, well worth the visit
December seems to be the time to stay here.
Christmas was in full effect, done with charm and style. No tackiness in sight. The hotel is lovely, well finished and if you get a good room rate it's great value.
This is a nice little hotel: somewhat out of the ordinary and well worth a visit.
Staff were friendly and helpful and the food was good. We were working in Worthing - about 4 miles away - but traffic combined with road works makes for a longish commute so be prepared to set off earlier than you think. The hotel has facilities we didn't have time to investigate (garden, spa etc).
Had the good fortune of staying at the Manor.
The room we had was very romantic, if a little on the small size. Only 1 chair, no desk, could not open the wardrobe fully if bathroom door open. Knocked leg on wooden sleigh bed many times while moving around the room. Beautiful restaurant and the food was simply amazing !!!!.
