White Hart Hotel
The beds very comfortable and the food was yummy. Thank you.
White Hart Hotel
A nice friendly hotel superbly situated in the centre of Wiveliscombe.
The stairs however were too much for us with quite a climb to the first floor room that we booked. I did ring before to ask where our room was situated but was very disappointed when we arrived to find that it was two flights up. It is a very old building and thats really nice if you are fit. It is definitely not suitable for anyone who has difficulty with stairs, as there was no hand rail part way up. I did mention this on checking out and they did apologise, but it needs to be made clear to prospective clients that the stairs could be an issue. We are 78 and 73 years old and not disabled.
One night at the White Hart
Lovely quirky old building, full of character.
Nice clean room & bedding. Really nice cooked breakfast. Cannot fault it for the money.
Overall the stay was very pleasant, the customer service very good and our room comfortable.
However, after a busy day and excellent food at the White Hart, sleep was not possible. The family room was positioned directly above the bar and on the night we stayed the noise level was horrendous. The music was full blast and the bar exceptionally busy. We were unable to sleep until 1am, when the last customers had finally left. Such a shame, as we would have raved about this place if the circumstance was different..
White Hart Hotel
Lovely little hotel, great staff, excellent food.
They treated us like old friends
Just got back from a fabulous weekend here with hubby.
Our room was at the back and although we overlooked the rear access alley when you looked up all we saw were fields and it was lovely. Staff were amazing and they couldn't do enough for us and were really welcoming. The breakfast was really good and I've never seen that many mushrooms in an "included" breakfast before. We ate here on our second evening and chose the pork belly and I have to say it's the best meal I've ever eaten and no they're not paying me to say that. We'll definitely be back here in the near future as we'd love to experience Sunday lunch. Hope to see you again soon.
Highly recommended fabulous accommodation
As a family of 4 we had an amazing 1 night stay here.
Fabulous value for money and the breakfast was 5*. Two things that you might need to be mindful of prior to booking, I say might as these aren't important to everyone. 1) There is very little mobile phone reception anywhere in the area however there is wifi available and 2) it is a public house so if staying on a weekend night it can be a little noisy but we were so tired it didn't matter to us at all. We would 100% stay again.
Friendly, Helpful, little gem - real value for money
Lovely warm welcome on a wet and cold day, the staff were really helpful, offering to help with luggage, room was a good size, the food was simply superb, in addition the chef clearly has a passion/flair for presentation, I chose to eat in the hotel on both nights of my stay, and the breakfast selection was great.
I would have no hesitation booking this Hotel again.
Great night's stay at the White Hart.
The room was quiet, clean, warm and very comfortable. Excellent bar ad food. The staff are a credit to the establishment. The Full English breakfast is worth a visit to the White Hart on it's own.
three day break at the white hart
