Not Classified  Hotel Ratings explained
Church Square , Shepperton, TW17 9JZ
Nestled within the charming village of Shepperton, overlooking the Church Square, The Anchor Hotel exudes a warm and inviting glow. Rich in legend and history, this establishment was once a regular haunt for Dick Turpin. In fact, a pistol was once uncovered in the rafters bearing the chilling inscription ‘Dick’s Friend’! The Anchor Hotel also housed the beginnings of Richard Burton and Elizabeth Taylor’s tempestuous affair. Perhaps due to its colourful past or perhaps due to its resplendent decor and design, the hotel encapsulates a certain vivacity, a certain romance. The 29 en-suite bathrooms are classically furnished and adorned with an opulent decor. All are well-appointed and fitted with all modern comforts. Our hotel restaurant offers diners a cosy setting and hearty, traditional cuisine.

I booked a single room with breakfast, it is a basic but clean room with a shower. Breakfast very good. I would stay there again if visiting the area.

Anchor Hotel Shepperton New Year visit
Hotel is ideally located near the Thames and in an idyllic village square. Short walk from town and only a little longer to London bound trains.
Our three night stay covered the new year period and was an ideal base from which to visit family, friends and a visit to London.
The staff were eager to do their best during this festive period, and they did do well.
The accommodation is simple, clean with the on suit and the usual teas and coffees to hand.
Personally I think the breakfast is the best in Shepperton.
Yes I would visit again.

Great value for money
Great value for money, room was basic yet comfortable, bathroom a bit dated. The bed was really comfortable and had a good night's sleep. The breakfast, which was included, was first class full English and buffet.
