The hotel is a very attractive looking building, being an old bank built in the 19C.
The reception area is very good and check-in was quick and uncomplicated. However, I was little disappointed in the quality of the room. The room was split level, but the wood flooring in the 'living' area could have been cleaned more thoroughly, being a little 'sticky' near the window. Also, there was a large stain on the carpet at the side of the bed. The windows were original wooden frame and consequently not very insulated against noise. They didn't close very well either and one blew open during the night. However, the bed was very comfortable and the hotel is in a perfect location in the centre of Liverpool. Very convenient to some top-class bars, restaurants and shopping areas. Despite the disappointments I would recommend this hotel to anyone wishing to stay in Liverpool.
The location and quality of the room were both excellent, really great value for money.
The staff are very friendly and welcoming, would highly recommend!

62 Castle Street Boutique Hotel
Great room, but not happy with no Food or drink available in the hotel.
Prime hotel in a prime location!
I'd spent quite a while deciding on a place to stay overnight on our trip to Liverpool and am very pleased with my choice.
The staff were extremely pleasant and even though we hd arrived early, our room was still ready and check in was quick. The room itself was huge and had everything we needed, as did the bathroom, which again was well stocked and had the added bonus of a bath as well as a shower. Even though the hotel was right by a main road, the noise was minimal from outside, which was brilliant. The outside door is locked at night for security, but night staff are always available to let you in. The hotel is superbly located for where we were venturing, literally 5 minutes from Docks. The Cavern Club is just around the corner, as is the Liverpool One shopping (where we parked, at a discounted price.)
All in all we had a great stay and will certainly stop again, should we visit Liverpool in future. I can't fault the hotel or it's staff and have already recommended the place. :-)
Lovely listed building with a huge bed and stunning views
I think the room was poorly thought out.
You could barely get your hands under the tap to wash your hands. The shower head was fixed and hung over into the bath, which is fine if you are under 6ft, my partners head was higher than the shower. We had 4 showers between us during our stay and the water was warm, but not hot, so we were forced to hop in and out again. I suppose these are things which could be fixed, as the room was a good space and the location was great. A fridge would have been a good idea.
A very friendly welcome from Ken who couldn't so enough to help and advise us on our stay, and excellent value for money, thank you for a lovely stay.
One night Stay at 62 Castle Street
This hotel for me was a disappointment, for the cost I was expecting much more.
I thought the room was tired and could do with a lick of paint, covering up the leak patch or damp that was on the ceiling and cleaning properly throughout. The complimentary toiletries had been partly used. Shelf broken in bathroom and not been repaired. The shower had no power to it and trickled out. No bathrobes ( which for a hotel of that standing for a suite room should have been standard ). The welcome pack was a dog eared piece of paper that was not very clear. Added to the fact that there was no parking and no breakfast provided ( which I knew about and was happy to trade off to stay in an elite hotel ). The room was a suite and very spacious, beautiful high ceiling and large front windows. The position was perfect for the centre of Liverpool and a night out, so for location ticked every box.
