Friendly staff

Room was very small but adequate and the bed was comfortable - kitchen was closed at 9.30 pm and no room service but a lovely member of staff made me a nice sandwich - the staff were really friendly.

Charming Chanellors Hotel

Very relaxing and quiet hotel in beautiful surroundings near Manchester city centre.

Comfortable spacious rooms and food was simply excellent - we also had dinner and the menu was first class and food presented was delicious. Cannot praise this hotel enough.

Great hotel for close business meetings.

Nice room and selection of tea and coffee.

The room was a good size for a single room.

The photos cleverly upsell the hotel, which leaves you feeling disappointed when you get was ok room was tiny student type room, quite clinical bathroom.

For popping into university it would be a very handy place to stay.

Perfectly Adequate

We wanted somewhere to stay whilst visiting our son in Manchester.

Most hotels were full/expensive due to a Man U game that day. Our room was small but comfortable and had everything we needed for an overnight stay (except wi-fi; the ethernet cable was no good for our Apple devices). Breakfast was good with fresh fruit salad and freshly cooked makings for a 'full English'.

Exellent stay

Very tidy and comfortable hotel in a students' accomodation area.

Clean, functional and nice rooms and good food.

Not suitable for a romantic time, family holiday with children or visiting ancient historical places. As I visited my son who is a student of the Univirsity of Manchester this hotel is perfect for me. Also it would be perfect for people doing a business trip.

Feels like your staying in halls of residence

The accommodation is on the University campus and it feels like you are staying in the halls of residence because the room and common areas are very basic.

The bed was very hard and although the radiator was off the pipes were red hot all night which meant I had a disturbed uncomfortable sleep. The room cleanliness was bad, dust everywhere. The pictures on the website are very misleading with the picture of the white old house - most of the hotel is a 1980's building which you approach from the rear and is swallowed up by various University buildings. I paid £80 for 1 night but think it is actually worth £40. On a positive note the staff are friendly and helpful and the food was quite good.

Two day stay whilst attending a course nearby

I chose the accommodation at short notice due to it’s close proximity to a course I was attending.

The room was clean, comfortable and quiet. The breakfast was self service and the food was of a high quality. I had one evening meal from the room service menu and again could not fault the quality or prompt service.
