Staying overnight for a family party
First impressions count and the fact that we were unable to park anywhere close to the hotel was disappointing.
It was pouring with rain and we were all dressed up ready to go straight into a family party, which we arrived late for as my husband had to drive around Old Shepparton to find parking, which he did approximately 5 - 10 minutes walk away and it was a public car park...not the best start to the evening. The heating had been on full blast in the room, but this was quickly remedied by opening all of the windows wide open. We had a family room which was a good size and could easily sleep 5 people and the bathroom was big to. My parents also stayed at the hotel but had a standard double room which they found very cramped. Soft close doors would be great as it seemed that every door in the hotel was just able to slam shut - this was not appreciated at 2am when our neighbours decided to come back to their room. A general overhaul of the hotel would be good as it general decor is dated and tired (the carpets have seen better days). I have paid less to stay in a hotel with modern and up to date features and I feel that the room rates at the Warren Lodge should easily enable a tradesperson to come in and affordably tidy it up a bit.
Warren Lodge Hotel
Great stay, lovely hotel, great service.
Friendly hotel which satisfies the basic needs of a short stay business person
Lovely quiet location
Hotel set in a very quiet location with very friendly staff and a nice feel to it.
I stayed in a room in the separate annex. The entrance to the room did not feel very safe being a woman on my own - the door was slightly flimsy. The only thing missing in the room was air conditioning.
Value for Money
A great hotel with stunning views of the river.
Great value , idiotic setting
Looking forward to a return
Stayed at Warren Lodge for 2 nights whilst visiting Thorpe Park with my 2 kids.
We didn't want to stay at the resort hotel but nearby. It's about 4 miles. We had a triple room, just right, lovely staff, nice restaurant food, pretty good value and the breakfast was ace.
Clean, tidy hotel with adequate amenities.
Friendly staff seeking to please.
Only stayed one night due to work, wish it had been more.
Friendly staff, old world charm to the hotel and a beautiful location.
Everything in the room was very old and unmaintained.
Shampoo and shower gel provided only for the first night. Very noisy from the nearest bar. Room very small, no space to move around at all, no hair drier provided.
