Disgusted with the whole experience
Don't waste your money.
We had problems with the rooms, requested an extra quilt for a family member from a manager which wasn't given to us resulting in my elderly aunt sleeping on a shabby sofa with no pillow and only a short bed runner for warmth. The manager I spoke to was rude and condescending. Breakfast was a waste of time, food wasn't restocked. The whole 45 minutes I was at breakfast there was no sausage, orange juice or pastries even after I asked for them to be restocked. Rooms were shabby and covered in stains. Staff were dismissive and rude. I have stayed in many hotels and many holiday inn express hotels and this one was by far the worst. I have complained to their head office but surprise surprise no reply as of yet!
Holiday Inn Express LEEDS CITY CENTRE - ARMOURIES
So happy with the service of staff and the accommodation itself everybody was very friends and made us feel very welcome the breakfast was really nice would highly recommend and lots of choice
One nasty night at Holiday Inn Express
Overpriced and miles away from center of Leeds.
Tiny bedroom. Bathroom with no extractor fan and mound round the shower. Ridiculously expensive. Disgusting food. Would pay not to stay there again.
Holiday Inn Express Leeds City Centre - Armouries
Room was ok.
Shower head wouldn't stay up, Shower tray kept filling up with water. Noisy guests banging doors and shouting from 2 am to 4.30 am caused terrible night sleep. No water bottle machine to take water to room. Breakfast busy and under pressure but staff were attentive.
excellent will use again
Stayed for convenience as visiting the Armouries and was impressed, staff were great and a real bargain.
Excellent service, straightforward, excellent value.
Customer service was excellent, and I was able to check in early and check out late at no extra charge.
Room was small and functional, but clean and comfortable. Breakfast was a buffet with a typical mixture of continental and traditional items, although the cooked selection is limited to sausages, scrambled eggs and tomatoes, so anyone wanting a full English would be disappointed.
Location is a little awkward until you work out the quickest way (the staff were v. helpful with this). It is about 10-15 mins from the city/train station, but on foot you need to navigate a maze-like series of new developments by the river, and the signs are not always clear. This is, of course, not the fault of the hotel!
ok for a nights stopover
Great stay and location!
The hotel is located in Clarence dock which is a lovely area of Leeds.
Only a 10-15 minute walk to the town centre which was a bonus as we didn't have to pay for taxis. The staff were friendly and really helpful, we parked in the car park just next to the hotel for £8 which I thought was a bargain compared to city parking prices. The room was basic but comfortable and perfect for what we needed. I would recommend this hotel!
Staff really really friendly , clean and ideal for a couple of days whilst out round Leeds , £5 in a taxi to the centre
