Everythinhg was really good except that I had booked a non smoking room.

The smell of stale smoke was disgusting and when I returned to my room it hadn't gone. I did not ask to change rooms as it was late but instead lined my clothes up on the window sill in the hope of avoiding them also stinking in the morning. The breakfast made up for it and it was a shame as otherwise it would have been a great value for money, room in a lovely setting. Check in and out was very organised which was better than I was expecting.

It was great dogs were welcome.very handy.

Ony negative comment was noise of deliveries waking us up and encouraging dogs to bark. Not as restful due to room location.

Short but great stay

Attending a conference at the Royal Armouries Centre.

Hotel Perfectly situated, being adjacent to the centre. Also, hotel perfectly situated for using the yellow water taxis which take you free of charge from Leeds Railway Stayion to the Royal Armouries!

Great stop-over with parking and breakfast in Leeds City Centre

Location excellent - right next to The Armouries and lovely walk along canal into centre.

Private car park is next door and you take a ticket on entry and then get a voucher from hotel reception when you check out. Then take this to the office at the car park and pay £8 for each 24 hours - very cheap for Leeds. Taxis around the city are cheap so forget the car and walk or taxi. The rooms were great and the breakfast was superb - massive choice all fresh and plentiful and help yourself to as much as you like. A Friday night in central Leeds with massive breakfast and parking for £57!!!. - well done Holiday Inn Express!!

Disgusted with the whole experience

Don't waste your money.

We had problems with the rooms, requested an extra quilt for a family member from a manager which wasn't given to us resulting in my elderly aunt sleeping on a shabby sofa with no pillow and only a short bed runner for warmth. The manager I spoke to was rude and condescending. Breakfast was a waste of time, food wasn't restocked. The whole 45 minutes I was at breakfast there was no sausage, orange juice or pastries even after I asked for them to be restocked. Rooms were shabby and covered in stains. Staff were dismissive and rude. I have stayed in many hotels and many holiday inn express hotels and this one was by far the worst. I have complained to their head office but surprise surprise no reply as of yet!

One nasty night at Holiday Inn Express

Overpriced and miles away from center of Leeds.

Tiny bedroom. Bathroom with no extractor fan and mound round the shower. Ridiculously expensive. Disgusting food. Would pay not to stay there again.
