Fantastic customer service
The staff were all absolutely lovely - from the friendly receptionist, to the very nice bartender and extremely nice breakfast waitress. The location was perfect - very close to the bars on Park Street but you really couldn't hear any noise. Some reviews had talked about the noise from the basement bar but we couldnt hear a thing - even on the ground floor. Our thord floor room was spacious and the shower was extremely nice. The free sherry in the room was a lovely touch, along with the ground coffee and cafetiere, instead of the normal instant coffee.

Good location, not great rooms
This hotel is in a good location and has well presented public rooms and bar. Unfortunately they have not invested in the rooms so much.

Stayed here 4 times over the last couple of years as I have a bar in Bristol
Rooms not very nice kept giving it benefit of doubt. But we got put in room 5 at the back of the lounge area on the ground level that was pretty noisy
also the bed was far to big for the size of the room and there wasn't much room for walking round it. The room was just pretty run down all in all
Not a very good stay, won't be staying again

Situated perfectly, clean, friendly with lovely little touches
Lovely room, with very good facilities. Was particularly nice to have a small decanter of Sherry in the room with a bowl of fruit. Staff all very lovely, we did not eat dinner here but sampled some of the many cocktails which were timely made and beautiful in presentation and taste. Breakfast was made to order and had a lot choice, not just the usual 'English Breakfast' and any personal preferences were met without a fuss. Really enjoyed our stay and would definitely recommend the hotel to friends and family.

Served its purpose
An okay, well-priced hotel. I'd stay again but it's nothing to write home about.
