A lovely hotel for a business stay, with a good restaurant serving quality food. The only downside is that the free wi-fi was very slow in the communal area and it was impossible to get a mobile phone signal unless you stood outside the hotel buildings

Hotel was fairly dark and chilly and staff seemed to be spread a little too thin but they were pleasant, Sports bar was handy. Gym staff were not particularly friendly. Food of good quality. TV in rooms could be upgraded.

Good value room but optional breakfast expensive
We stayed at the hotel for one night - the staff were friendly and the hotel clean, quiet and well decorated. There was a small library (a couple of bookcases with books to read), a gymn and bowls also golf. The evening meals appear very reasonably priced although we did not eat there. This seemed out of line with the breakfast charge of £9.50 (although children were half price). We chose not to take the breakfast, but the room itself was excellent value. It is a shame that the breakfast is not say £6.50 or maybe even £7.50 which would seem more in line with what some competitors charge. Although recovering costs on the breakfast did mean the rooms were good value and so the optional breakfast suited us.
