The Falmouth Hotel put themselves out when we discovered that some how I had accidently booked 2 double rooms for the same night, in fact due to their understanding and help we stayed an extra night.
This was a special occasion it was my wifes 65th birthday. The hotel was generally ok ,looking a little tired in places.But.
Arrived in Restaurant for evening meal service a little slow but sat patiently until we finally had our starter. The main meal was even slower a good 30 to 40minutes to wait..The sweet never arrived at all with some people really fed up and some even walked out of restaurant.Had a word with Steve the manager about it and he said will sort something out in the morning before we left but what a surprise he wasnt in.Perhaps it was something to do with Mr Richardson the Boss being in the hotel at the same time we were there.
Small room with no view, but still OK
The room was quite small with hardly room to walk around the double bed.
There was no view from our room, though for more money, we could have had one. The mattresses seemed old and not very comfortable. But the environment is lovely. We enjoyed sitting in the dining room for breakfast and the bar/lounge at any time of day to watch the surf and relax. We enjoyed walking around Falmouth. They made a great recommendation for another place to eat, which we thoroughly enjoyed. My friend took a swim and enjoyed the pool and raved about the good shower there. The bathroom in the room had a marvelous narrow but long tub (why don't we have those in the States?), which I thoroughly enjoyed.
Only stayed 1 night B&B, 2 single rooms.
My room was on 2nd floor inland view cozy but not small. Bed was comfortable slept well, Good preview TV & wifi. Bathroom clean & roomy. Breakfast was lovely buffet style both continental & English, Not greasy. Dinning room over looked the bay. Staff friendly and polite. Fitness centre & pool looked good (but didn't use).
Very friendly hotel in a great location across from the beach and close to the town....dog friendly which was great, although there was a charge that wasn't mentioned on booking.....
hotel has been maintained well unlike many Victorian hotels, the only small negative was the breakfast which was ok but suffered from being under the warmers too long but we were at the end of the sitting. Would deffo recommend and will go back....deputy manager Simon was very helpful and pleasant....
A beautiful Victorian 5 storey hotel
Easy access to the local town, all the staff were really attentive and helpful.
The hotel itself is unlikely to disappoint with large rooms complete with original character features a good sized restaurant and bar with a variety of function rooms available too. Ample free parking is a bonus in this part of the seafront
Would recommend highly to anyone who wants to enjoy the beautiful sea views and grounds to enjoy.
enjoyed every minute of our stay very friendly staff couldnt do enough.
only complaint breakfast staff a bit slow, had to order my tea three times before it came, minor detail though.
Nice stay will be back again
Room was small, had been described as compact but was adequate.
Great to have a corner window view of the sea!
Very nice but Squeeky bed
We had a very nice stay in the hotel and the room was excellent and very clean with everything provided for however the bed was very noisy even just moving about at night so every time my partner moved he woke me up and vice versa.
This made for a very restless night so we missed breakfast to sleep in a little longer.
