The terrace dining room (where we serve breakfast every morning) overlooks the spacious secluded garden. The Hayesthorpe Hotel is ideally located in a leafy quiet suburb close to the main London - Brighton Road in South Croydon (A235) and offers free Wi-Fi and Onsite Car Parking (limited) and ample off street parking . Central and East Croydon is only five minutes by car or bus. Central London is 20 minutes by frequent express trains from Purley, Purley Oaks, Sanderstead station and East Croydon station (also providing tram services to Wimbledon, New Addington, Elmers End and Beckenham Junction) arriving at London Victoria or London Bridge as well as serving Gatwick airport and Brighton. Progress Way Business Park, Wandle Park and Beddington Park are both in close proximity just off the A23 which also provides access to Central London. The hotel is ideally located to enjoy the wide range of amenities that Croydon has to offer. There is an extensive shopping area within the Whitgift centre and the newly built Centrale, which house many of the main departmental stores. The Fairfield Hall is South London's premier arts and entertainment centre, presenting musical recitals, orchestral concerts, pop concerts and professional wrestling. The Ashcroft Theatre presents professional plays. Vue cinema complex in valley park is close by as well as Vue Grant's cinema complex (has ten screens) showing all the latest releases. Numerous restaurants just down the road offer many different national cuisines. The National Sports Centre is situated at Crystal Palace.

Bit of a dump
Definitely one to avoid unless you are multi-lingual and like the sound of late night group conversations. Room was unclean and staff were unhelpful. Would not recommend.

Budget Price Hotel in London
To be clear, there was nothing wrong with this hotel, you get what you pay for and what I paid was considerably cheaper than anywhere else in the area. The room was very basic but it did the job. Stayed in a single room which was very small and had only 2 electric points which were taken up by the TV and kettle but if you have a phone that can be charged through your laptop this isn't an issue. I ordered from a local Chinese in the evening and as I'm not a breakfast person I cant comment on the food.

ManagementResponse

Thank you very much for your honest review. We have taken on board the aspect on electric points in the room and we will strive to improve on this.
