I have stayed at the International on numerous occasions during the last six years and I have to say have always been satisfied however on arrival we could see some building work was being carried out in the bar breakfast area which was not initially a problem as were we told breakfast was being served in the Holiday Inn a short distance away.
I do think that the hotel/Late Rooms should make people aware that this work is going on on the website as we found out that the Holiday inn was also having a make over so no proper bar area just a small area to the side of the dining room, also on arrival at the Holiday inn for breakfast we were shown to a separate seating area away from the main breakfast/dining room where a make shift buffet breakfast was served which i felt was very poor service !.
Room lovely and spacious, clean, plenty of towels, coffee and tea loads of, good hair dryer, staff very happy and helpful, but the Breakfast was not worth getting up for, the bacon was nearly rare the fat edges being pure white in colour is tasted raw.
the coffee machine seemed to give out luke warm drinks not hot, the toaster rack took ages to brown the toast had to put it throw 3 times.
my daughter had a competition at the Telford International Centre which was just across the car park.
This is what made our stay so good. Location was fantastic and not having to use the car was brilliant. Lovely friendly staff too.
The International Hotel Telford
Second stay at this hotel, the first time was good (on the ground floor the windows at the rear of the hotel look out at a large banking) this time was even better (fourth floor).
Staff at reception were very pleasant and helpful. Good quality and choice of food served at breakfast for a continental plus service.our only issue with the breakfast, and a very minor one at that, was the Strawberry's in the fruit cocktail were still slightly frozen in the center, and if that,s all you can find wrong they are doing it right.
A no frills hotel that was fine in all respects.
Free parking is a nice bonus. Restaurants, bars and shops a 10 minute walk away.
Excellent value @£42/room/night (incl.
Room ok but needed a good dusting on tables
Table and bed side table full of dust.
Everything ok with this hotel very close to a lovely shopping park and restaurants.
This was an excellent hotel.
The staff were friendly and helpful with the only downside being a faulty shower head (which still worked) and noisy guests in a couple of rooms adjacent to us who came back after midnight. The latter wasn't the fault of the hotel though. It is an ideal hotel for anyone visiting the Telford International Centre.
Great staff great room great food all good.
We should not complain as we were pleased to get a room, but for the money we paid we expected more, had the rooms been cheap we would have thought cheap and cheerful but the price they charged I feel it should have been much nicer.
Breakfast was laughable, there was no room we had to eat it in the reception, the choice was poor and of poor quality. The crossaints were days old as was the bread, the orange juice was so cheap it tasted watered down. Our friends paid quite a bit less in the hotel next door, it had great amenities and the food was excellent and a much friendlier atmosphere.
