Mill Times Hotel Westport
Lovely hotel but in general I think room was over priced for a Sunday night
Mill Times Hotel Westport
Accomodation is starting to look very dated in places
A wonderful place to stay
We booked the Mill Times Hotel originally for one night but enjoyed it so much, we decided to stay for 5 nights.
It's a lovely hotel, the accommodation is very good, food and drink reasonably priced, but best of all, the staff are wonderful. Noel, Nollaig and the rest of the team couldn't do enough for us. We got lots of information for places to visit whilst in the area. Highly recommended!
Response from hotel
Many thanks for taking the time to review us and delighted that you enjoyed your stay in Westport and in particular the Mill Times Hotel.
I will pass on your comments to Noel and Nollaig and we hope to welcome you back in the future.
Warm regards, Colette Moran, Front of House Manager
Very enjoyable visit
Staff at the hotel were very polite and helpful, the room was a little tight space wise with the cot in, and cable for the hair dryer very short but neither would stop me from returning if I visit Ireland again.

Horrendous experience staying at The Mill Times Hotel Mill Street ,Westport.Co.Mayo
Insisted we pay on arrival. When we queried this we were just informed it was hotel policy even though ,as we pointed out they,.
had our credit card details. We said we were paying cash(Sterling}. The charge for our stay was 258 euros .The receptionist said it would be £210.We had £285 made up of 14 £20 notes and 1 £5 note.We paid £200 and said we would get two £10 notes when the banks opened the following day.The teller at the bank informed us that 258 Euros converted to £198 on that day.We went back to hotel reception and offered to pay the£10 but said we should the balance on departure. In the event we paid them 15 Euros. Our main complaint is that we were told to pay on arrival as elsewhere we have always paid on day of departure. On our first night we were kept awake by the noise from TV's in other guests rooms until well after midnight and by the rowdiness of revellers in the street outside. This meant we had to close the bedroom window. There was no air condition facility so we spent a very uncomfortable night and had probably about two hours sleep. The second night was even worse.TheTV's were on until 3.15 am and the noise from the street ended around 4.30 am.Needless to say we got very little sleep that night either. On the day of departure we went for breakfast at 9.30am and got our cooked breakfast at 10.40am. We discovered later that there was one chef/cook on duty to prepare meals for 70 guests. Needless to say we will never go back to the Mill Times Hotel and will try to ensure that none of our friends ever go there.
Great hotel brilliant service very friendly staff highly recommended cheap drink compared to other big towns well worth staying there
