Oh so cosy
From the moment we arrived Bev and Martin we're helpful. We got lost but Bev was on hand to help us at no problem. Martin met us at the door with a lovely smile. Our room was great, facing the main room but we never heard a thing. The bed was so comfy. Martin gave us loads of information which was so helpful. The breakfast was so tasty. Bev did cute little fried bread which l loved. She even made her own bread which was so lovely. It kept us going. But the most loveliest touch was our little gift of them, as we had just got engaged. Left on our bed, so beautiful. Thank you Bev and Martin for a wonderful stay. We will be back. Xxx

York break
I stayed with a friend. The room was very small and priced the same as the the double large rooms. There was twin beds, which were very comfortable. The owners were a lovely couple who couldn't do enough to make our stay welcome. We did find the breakfast room very similar to sitting in a corridor with fumes from the cooking spoiling the breakfast although the food was excellent and more than sufficient. Thank you for a lovely stay.

ManagementResponse

By all accounts you and your friend had a great time with lots of shopping sightseeing eating and drinking a perfect weekend away. However it was such a shame that you had the flu but hoping your feeling much better now you loved the hot water bottle we brought you to relieve your cold and flu symptoms. We were sorry to hear about your breakfast experience but unfortunately one of our Guests wanted their bacon well done and this fed through to the dining room. Once you brought this to our attention we opened the dining room window. We were pleased you found our 'food excellent' and that we 'were a lovely couple and couldn't do enough to make you feel welcome'.
