100% would recommend it to a friend
Excellent Stay and favulous food
This was a fabulous small hotel/inn in Tetbury.
Breakfast and dinner was fabulous. Absolutely love the fact that all of the food is locally sourced within a 30 mile radius.
All of the staff were very friendly too. Would definitely stay here again.
On the whole a decent hotel
The decor in the hotel is a bit dated throughout but no great detriment to our stay.
The restaurant and bar area are excellent and the food is top quality, and the beer garden at the front of the hotel is fabulous on a warm sunny day. While our room was very clean there was laminate coming away from the table and the bathroom unit looked a bit well worn. The bed was the major issue for us, 2 single beds bolted together to make a double bed with mattresses that felt like you were sleeping on concrete. The food in the hotel is a little pricey and there's very few options in Tetbury when it comes to eating out, although we can highly recommend an Italian restaurant called Ciao Italia which is only a few minutes walk from the hotel.
This hotel proved to be all that it professed to be.
the staff were friendly and efficient, the hotel was small enough to give a good service but large enough to have all you would want for a comfortable stay. We liked the ethics of sourcing a very high percentage of their produce locally, and thereby supporting the local community. Centrally placed in Tetbury. Having a selection of locally produced real ale and cider in the bar meant that we didn't need to go looking for a decent pub, another bonus.
A couple of nights in the cotswolds
This was an unbelievable deal, dinner, bed and breakfast for two for two nights.
The staff were friendly and welcoming, nothing was too much trouble. The food was delicious, wine sensibly priced. The breakfast was great, the best bacon we've ever tasted. All food is locally sourced and it shows. Tetbury is a lovely little town, worth a visit so for a night or two away, this hotel is perfect.
Lovely hotel with kind staff
The staff were excellent, from the moment we arrived, they went out of their way to provide us with taxi numbers.
The rooms were clean and comfortable.
One of the reasons I use The Priory is because of the quality of their food.
Unfortunately i chose a day when they had a large Christmas party and the kitchen was closed for hotel patrons. I should have been told this when I phoned to confirm my reservation. However, the manager was apologetic and the staff are always polite and helpful.
I have stayed at The Priory several times.
The bed rooms are clean, simple but adequate. The bar has a good range of local beers but the Sauvignon Blanc I had was awful. The bar maid agreed and exchanged it without fuss for a Pinot Grigio which was better. My three course meal was excellent in every way: presentation, quality and quantity. The owners claim the ingredients are all local and clearly make an effort to produce a great tasting experience. By contrast the breakfast was poor especially the coffee which was cold and stewed.
Priory Inn D Holdsworth
Excellent - would stay again.
