Murrayfield Hotel & House
Room was small but clean and comfortable.
Wardrobe door was hanging off and though we reported it, nothing was done to repair it during our stay so it was unusable which was a shame. The room was very small and it would have been good to store bags out of the way. The room itself was clean and tastefully decorated. We have stayed here before a few years ago and it is very good value for money. We didn't eat in the hotel but did have a few drinks in the bar. Nice touches in the rooms with various teas and coffees as well as caramel wafers and bottled water. The hotel is about 20 minutes walk from the centre so really handy for a city break. There are loads of bus services passing regularly and it's a real bonus that the hotel has free on site parking. Check in and out was quick and painless. We will stay again the next time we are in Edinburgh.
Second stay great hotel, reception couldn't be more helpful, room great, looking forward to my next stay this week.
Excellent stay with free upgrade
Really nice stay and got a free upgrade.
Spent quite some time in the bar.
It would be good if staff there could acknowledge you when you got to the bar. On two occasions, staff served others who had not been waitng as long , before myself. On the second occasion, I had to say something.
Stayed here for almost a week.
A lovely boutique hotel, the staff were friendly and helpful. We were moved rooms part way through due to an issue with the original room, which was quickly resolved. Whilst the second room was slightly smaller, it still had all the amenities you could need and was cosy and well decorated. A lovely hotel that is fantastic value for money. If you can afford it I would consider moving up to the house at that looked amazing. If we come back to Edinburgh we'll definitely stay here!
Great value room, very pleasant stay
I stayed here for one night on business and had a very pleasant stay.
Welcome was very friendly, service was excellent and the room comfy and well equipped. Highly recommended.
Fanastic Weekend Stay
Lovely hotel pleasant and friendly staff.
The room was larger than expected and loved the walk in shower. Ate at the restaurant on Friday evening the food was excellent. The choice at breakfast was second to none. Very close to attractions we wanted to see. The bus stops located close by so easy to get in to the centre of Edinburgh or further afield. Would definitely recommend and looking forward to visiting again.
Fantastic Country House Hotel in Town Centre
Superb accommodation and excellent food.
Post wedded bliss
Excellent hotel, a little noisy at night with doors banging and housekeepers hoovering early, but excellent value for money.
All staff were friendly and food super tasty!
Hospitality Mystery Challenge
We stayed at the 'House' annex accommodation.
Very attractive and comfortable but :
How do you contact reception. (no hotel information in room) How do you stop the mysterious low 'hum' which went on all night. How do you stop the light from outside coming through the bathroom glass door. How do you find the light and heating switches when the big decorative lights hide them. We enjoyed the challenge but some may not. (We eventually found the very acceptable complimentary gifts, we think we should graduate A+ in detection).
