Great atmosphere lovely service
We very much enjoyed our stay, the staff were very helpful and friendly.
The room was beautiful and spacious. The breakfast in bed was delicious... Which I enjoyed whilst reading my complimentary newspaper. We will definately stay again 😄
Ideal accommodation and good value for money.
Nicely located for Donington Park and East Midlands airport
4 stars is probably stretching it
This is an over-developed out-of-place hotel in a grotty little town, 10 minutes from East Midlands Airport & Donington Park race track.
It has a large car park & no other grounds, an extensive spa & exercise centre & a Marco PIerre White themed restaurant. We had a standard room with double bed, small wardrobe, chair, coffee, Corby etc. The "smart" TV was near-unfathomable to operate (and I'm an IT professional), and although most channels were available, no EPG or programme info was accessible as the WiFi wasn't working properly. On that note, the requirement to "sign in" to the WiFi at random intervals by supplying an unverified name & email address is both pointless & irritating. The en-suite was compact and functional. 4 stars should require better than the supplied shower-over-bath, complete with hair-trigger thermostat. A good sized shower cubicle should have been installed, no-one uses a bath these days unless it's for dissolving bodies. The single worst factor was the noise. I think we must have been above the kitchen, as there was a constant mechanical hum & throb - to the extent that the walls were vibrating - until around 22:30, recommencing early in the morning. Another, slightly less-intrusive rhythmic pulse - probably from a pump - ran 24 hours, emanating from the bathroom. The restaurant is new, smart & enjoyable. Prices are surprisingly modest, main courses starting at around 10 pounds. Breakfast was excellent, quality ingredients and a large array of cooked items at the hot buffet, including eggs cooked to order. This is the second time we've stayed here - the first was about 5 years ago - while attending the BTCC meeting at Donington Park. Next year we'll go back to the pub in Donington village.
Dog made welcome!
Room clean and comfortable, Reception and restaurant staff efficient and polite, my dog was made welcome too.
Breakfast not the best I've had, but ok
Staff very polite and helpful, food excellent.
Lovely hotel with wonderful staff.
The menu was the only downfall as too pricey but there are great local restaurants approx 10minutes away.
The room was clean with lots of treats and products.
Breakfast was delicious also and not forgetting the lovely spa, which is basic but perfect for short stays. Would definitely visit again.
We thought the service and the accommodation was excellent and the hotel provided us with more than we needed or expected.
I would highly recommend this establishment to anyone. some cheap hotels are available but at the yew lodge, you get what you pay for and it was worth every penny. 10 out of 10. well done guys

I booked the hotel room as a surprise for my husbands birthday, as a family.
The room was lovely, the children loved it too. We were really impressed with the spa facilities and were made to feel very welcome by everyone. My husband had a wonderful birthday, we would definitely stay again :)

Very good customer service.
They sent on a book my son had left behind, quickly and without any payment.
