Surreal
Water cut out. Central heating went off 3 times. Room was very cheaply furnished. Bad bed. lovely views of bay. Nice pool.

Good view of the Menai Strait
Nice warm reception and friendly staff. Upgraded to a ground floor suite in the tower. Very thin floor above the bed resulting to interrupted sleep every time the guest upstairs moved about in the night.

The Tower
We stayed in ‘The Tower’ on the top floor. The apartment was a quirky circular design and was impressive upon first glance. The balcony area over looking the bay was a wonderful surprise and enabled us to watch a beautiful Welsh sunset across the lapping waters. However, the apartment is starting to look a little shabby around the edges and the windows could have done with a clean, although you wouldn't want to open the windows as this allowed a swarm of flies entry and we spent a good five minutes running around swatting them with a magazine. Overall a decent sized one bedroom apartment with a small kitchenette, tea & coffee facilities, a fridge, a hairdryer and a flat screen TV. Breakfast was not included.

Quirky, friendly and superb location
This is thank goodness the antithesis of the corporate homogenised hotel experience. An independent, quirky place full of character and very friendly staff. The location is superb and the deck rooms are fabulous with panoramic sea views. Decor wise its Boogie Nights but I mean this in a positive way, not everything needs to come from Ikea. Book a deck room pour a large whiskey, wallow in the view and atmosphere and for a moment you can be Burt Reynolds.

Welcoming Hotel family run
The staff were varied in age & offered very helpful suggestion at all times. The hotel was in a perfect place , overlooking the straits looking toward Angelsey. The Place was central for the Island of Angelsey & the Lynn peninsular ,Abersoch etc & less than 2 hours drive from Rochdale.. What made it great for us was the way the staff responded to us & made us feel special .Beakfast choices were excellent quality & price (continental was very wholesome too , but cooked was delicious)Not necessary to eat in hotel for dinner , (we discovered a fantastic Pub/Restaurant 10 minutes walk away )but hotel does evening meals too.Varied visitors from families to foreign customers , old & young -great mix.spa & pool great. Well done Pink Palace
