The room was in need of some updating and refurbishment
There was no breakfast menu and we had to have what was on offer on the hot plate even though a menu was advertised.
Breakfast wasn't particularly well cooked either. Considering what they charge we do not consider this to be very satisfactory.
In desperate need of some TLC
We held our wedding reception here 21 years ago and stayed as we were dining with friends in the area.
I don't think it's had even a lick of paint or anything else in those 21 years. Seriously, so dated. Full of several loud hen parties, which is fine if they're not having a party next door to you. Couldn't manage an ice bucket or the right glasses for bottles of prosecco. The garden, which was a beautiful backdrop to our photos 21 years ago looked sad and tired. At £120 per night room only I expected a lot better.
Excellent all round, as usual
All amenities you require.
Comfy bed. 10 minutes walk to Brentwood high street
The staff did their best to accommodate my wishes as our stay was a birthday treat
Marygreen Manor Hotel
Marry green manor is a great hotel, they gave me and my fiancée a free upgrade toa bigger room.
I would 100% use again.
The hotel has a comfortable, friendly & relaxed atmosphere.
The staff were very helpfull. The only downside were the room rates which I thought were a little excessive and more comparable with Central London than one would expect for Essex.
Room and service excellent.
Good Hotel - Good Value
Nice Hotel and staff very polite.
I found everything very dark and the decor dated. What was quaint "black and white" tudor decor is now very old fashioned. Room was very clean and had everything for a comfortable stay, but I was a little disappointed at the room being outside around a central lawn. Any room with an outside door tends to feel cold.
Old fashioned hotel comfortable in a lived in way
Beautiful property within walking distance of the Brentwood (20 minutes with a couple of hills!).
Hotel.s around here are expensive and this one is certainly competitive. Didn't eat here but the food looked good with a good choice and not ridiculously expensive
