Fawlty Towers Experience
So I arrived on the Friday and from the reception it looked a bit shabby.
The hotel was just dirty. The lift is something you have to try, it is like going through a mine shaft as it is so shaky and no way it would fit 4 people in.
So I went into the room and I thought, ok not bad. I did not get a proper look on the Friday night as I was tired. I noticed the bath had hair in it. It looked like it hadn't been clean properly so I had to wipe it down. There was dust in the room and the table wasn't clean. The next day I opened a draw and found an old yogurt pot in there. No idea how long but it has shown me this room had not been cleaned properly. I was awoken at 7.45 due to a fault with the smoke alarm. I wasn't sure if I had to evacuate so had to phone down. After looking around the room when slightly more awake I saw how dirty the bathroom was. Shower curtain a mess, the shower has black around it and the shelves were dirty. It is like it was cleaned with tissues. So breakfast was another interesting experience. My coffee came out cold. The milk we were given, the jug was dirty. There was a lump in it. The staff were extremely rude when we asked for some toast. It took forever and in the end I ended up just eating pastries which seemed shop bought. I would not mind so much as it is a cheaper hotel and 3 stars however I have stayed in a 2 star hotel in London for less in Stratford and it was cleaning than this. The photos they upload does not do this hotel justice. It is honesty like staying in a dirty version of Fawlty Towers. All I could do was laugh about this hotel. I would not recommend staying here and for the cleaning staff to be taught how to clean and the kitchen staff to be taught manners.
lack of communication
We arrived at the hotel only to be told our accommodation had been cancelled,I had received no word about this before I arrived so we were left without anywhere to stay!!I will tho applaud the man at the front desk as he was extremely helpful & sorted us out with another hotel!!
Rooms are tired and dated.
Breakfast was poor.
One nights for Shephards Bush visit
Ideally located in a beautiful part of outer London.
Great value for money and customer service. The only issues we had with the hotel room were cosmetic, and hopefully will be looked into for our next visit. Staff were very friendly and would I would defiantly stay again, and will spread the word.
would not recommend
the staff were unhelpful.
the lift was often stuck or being used by staff . I had to go to rerception 4 times as the door card didn't work only to find out the member of staff was putting the incorrect door number in . the food was average but again the staff were unhelpful and even moved me when I sat down at a table when there wqs no one to greet me and said I had to use a table situated at back of room as I was on my own. the whole room needed a lick of paint ,
there were no maps to help visitors and I was told to get them at the underground. no spoons in the room to make a cup of coffee or stir sugar in. all in all not helpful. would not use this hotel again
Ok hotel, good location
Hotel is more like 2 star, judging by the quality of room and breakfast .
The worst hotel breakfast I had in years. Choice was very limited and all the pastry was dry, fruit wasn't fresh either. I had to buy a separate breakfast on the way from the hotel in a bakery nearby.
Room was ok, no air conditing so it was like sauna in the room. The only good thing is location!
very good location.
Very close to Earls Court tube station and off the beaten track made it very quiet.
Staff was friendly and helpful. The room was large for a 3 star hotel. Very clean and comfortable.
