Lovely hotel
Our room was upgraded to sea view at no extra charge. Only complaint was no bath mat in bath. There could be a serious accident in there, just waiting to happen.

4 day break to Bounemouth
This review is written against a backdrop of excellent weather for Mid September .
A very competent and warm welcome was our first impression of the hotel . All the preliminaries were run through quickly and efficiently. The receptionist also gave a brief rundown of the local amenities available and was able to provide even more detail if required.
Our room was spacious , ample storage space , excellent wet room bathroom facilities for us both. One word of caution ,which we highlighted on the hotel questionnaire was that the hot water was dangerously hot and instantaneous ,which could catch you out if you weren't aware.
Our discounted evening meal at the hotel was good but much delayed as a coach party had also to be catered for. Ditto for the coffee which we had ordered in the lounge bar , luckily there was live entertainment which took the edge off the 40 minute wait for the coffee ( no charge as the management were a tad embarrassed about the delay) . The staff were absolutely magnificent in trying to cope with the demand bought about , no doubt, by the glorious weather .
Breakfast was excellent ,catering for both the "Full English Brigade" ,the dieters and the Continental types . All the expected beverages and juices were available , as were a medium variety of cereals , croissants ,cheeses and fresh , tinned and dried fruits , jams ,marmite and flora and butter spreads . The cooked items available enabled one to construct various combinations of at least 7 different items , or all 7 if you were more than peckish , plus toast white and brown was also on offer .
During our stay apart from the coach party the hotel also hosted two Wedding receptions . This of course meant more people and more cars . As the hotel is situated in an hotel district parking was very hard to come by . All in all the value and amenities were well worth the expenditure .
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay ,will go again and take a couple of friends/relatives with us.
Do try it for yourselves

Good Place to stay
Have now stayed in both the apartments and then main hotel....clean and tidy and the staff are always helpful. The area is good if you want to be out slightly out of the centre but still within walk-able distance of everywhere as you can easily walk along the beach to either Bournemouth or Sandbanks.
Only minor complaint is that some of the rooms look a little tired - had wall paper peeling off the wall in one area of the last room and the shower was lacking in pressure.

Ideal Family Holiday Destination
The Riviera is ideal for family holidays with indoor and outdoor swimming pools and entertainment in the evenings. They also have a good children's menu in the restaurant. The only negative was the
bed was not that comfortable.

Room a bit on the small side but very good service from staff made up for this. Excellent location. Good atmosphere in bar and nice size indoor pool with jacuzzi. Would definitely return.

Overnight stay
We booked the hotel for the pools available in case of bad weather as were travelling with a baby, they looked good but didn't actually get to use them. The hotel is dated but functional and above all clean. The reception staff were polite and helpful. There seemed to be an awful lot of staff at breakfast but no-one to seat us on arrival, they were cheery to others. The breakfast has a good selection of cold and hot but the hot food definitely needs some improvement.
We walked into the centre and took 20 minutes through the tropical gardens and very hilly, not an option if you want to be in the heart of it but great if you want quite. There is a small beach area with playground close by.

Breakfast service was excellent, fast and friendly.
We were very happy with the two swimming pools but disappointed to find the jacuzzi out of action.
We had booked this hotel mainly for the leisure facilities.
Good location, would like to come again.
